Before now, people's expectations were low. Iowa was an unranked team, who still hadn't achieved anything. NOW you turn around on Monday morning and they just beat a ranked team on the road, they are now ranked themselves, and people start throwing around very high expectations.
Kirk has always done well as kind of that underdog role, when the team has a chip on their shoulder. The state yesterday about Wisconsin only losing 8 games in X amount of years at home and Iowa was 4 of them is a great example of that. Now that Iowa is not "under the radar", they have to keep that chip on their shoulder and play like they are trying to prove something BIG!
Should be good weather and a good crowd against an Illinois team who just came off a huge win vs. Cornholers. Can't wait until Saturday!
