Most overrated team in the last 5 years?

Since the title run, has there been a more overrated team than North Carolina? They always start with a good ranking then are pretty rotten to start the season and don't really pick it up in ACC play.

Am I missing a different team? Indiana came to mind but they are usually on the boarder of the tournament.

When you are a blue blood, you get treated that way for a very long time, even when you aren't that special.

The nice thing about college basketball is most of these things sort themselves out by the end of the season and teams get what they deserve. (Except Syracuse getting bids they don't deserve and then going on final four runs)

There have been lot of college football teams that no longer scare their opponents like they used to: USC, FSU, Miami U, Texas, Iowa St.

I know it's early, but Michigan is vying for this years honor of most overrated. As of now, not the team that the experts thought they would be....

brand name + recruit rankings give the blue bloods preference in the early season. It also allows them the benefit of the doubt come tourney selection time, but having the Dance is a huge equalizer.
It's just not really an issue in b-ball as it all works out in the end.

Texas basketball gets similarly overrated too.... Not as bad as the YEARLY overated football team
