The first 15ish min are about the Cade situation. He's cleared to play, but not playing. There's some thinly veiled insinuation that he's quit on the team or reacted poorly to not being #1 all things considered. Obviously we all hope he's not hurt (physically or mentally), but if it turns out to be some bs like he effectively quit or whatever, I think this is a case in point for NIL fan hesitation and an even steeper uphill climb to get people onboard with the Swarm.

Hopefully Stratton can salvage a couple Ws here.

Run the ball

Reading between the lines and listening to what Scott and Chad had to say, it sounds like Cade is finished. Sad to see, because despite his flaws, I appreciate everything he's done for the program.

I think it's important to note Scott's comments regarding Kirk's bewilderment after UCLA. Perhaps Kirk has finally hit the F*ck it button, and let Tim choose who the QB will be? Tim had some nice comments about Stratton and how he would've recruited him out of high school. Perhaps Tim sees something no one else does?

Can't journalists investigate what's actually going on, then report it?

Seems like they know more than what they're saying.

Why is that?
An attempt to answer my own question:

Because players, coaches, and everyone associated with Iowa football, have been ordered not to talk about it.

KF can't issue orders to journalists, but they want to stay on his good side, and they know when to not report everything they know.

Close to correct?

Dochterman said he wouldn't get too far into anything until he had confirmed it, so I'm guessing they're still "investigating".

All over Twitter, people are saying he basically quit the team after not getting the starting position.
Any links? I don't use that Twitter. TIA

I am confused. Wasn't he listed as QB1 on the latest depth chart? And didn't Kirk
say that if he was healthy, he was starting? What changed?
He was QB1 on Monday. Had just a god awful practice on Monday. Coaches meeting after practice and decision was made to start Stratton. Cade got pissed and quit. Tues afternoon presser KF vaguely hinted at it. Time to rally behind the team of guys that want to be here.
