MSU up ,

Sunday should be a war. Both teams coming in off tough losses, Iowa wanting to even the season series, etc.

Looking forward to it.

I watched that game and MSU is mugging the hell out of their opponents the last few games and getting away with it. If not, Izzo would whine in the refs ear.

I think our game with them was what set Izzo over the edge and now he's pulling out all the stops to get what he wants from conference officials.

I also find it funny how in more and more conference games (not just ours) over the past week or so, as we finish up the regular season, games have been allowed to be WAY more physical than they were even at the beginning of conference play, let alone the beginning of the season.

Is this a result of officials getting worn down themselves, not giving as much of a f***, or letting their biases get the best of them down the stretch?

Methinks the Big 10 really wants Sparty in the Dance. I actually kinda wanted Spart to win last night but wow, did the zebras really let them play the last 2 min. Guard from OSU was obviously hit pretty hard on the layup attempt with about 5 seconds left, although in that situation its like the hail mary pass and calling pass interference. Unless someone is tackled no flag and no foul called. What, no people going bananas about Holtman being kicked out??

That’s the problem. If it occurred at the beginning of the game then they must call it at the end of the game. Rules are rules and must be applied equally no matter when it happens. You always hear people say they don’t want the officials inserting themselves into the game at the end, but if they don’t call normally they are still inserting themselves by not making the call.
