MSU's LJ Scott Arrested

What are the "normal" consequences for someone driving with a suspended license? How about for repeat offenses? I've never had a suspended license or known anyone who has who has gotten caught driving. Just curious.

Doesn't really seem like that big of a deal.

I mean, did Jok ever sit for a DUI and driving on a suspended licence?

jail time and then re-instated.

Suspended from team in July.

Maybe Jok was "lucky" to get arrested in July, but not sure what exactly you expect Fran to do after he spent 4 days in jail.

Dantonio's history with respect to arrested players is slightly different.....

I want to say he did but I really can't remember. I'd hope they'd sit him for a lengthy amount of time after incident #7 though.
I mean, driving on a suspended licence multiple times isn't good, but is a DUI not worthy of anything if we're tying to compare?

The bolded is a joke right? You sit them during a game. What you just wrote is, verbatim, what every MSU/Dantonio apologist said about Rucker. Verbatim.

Cool another thread about another team other than Iowa!
Please follow with a ISU or Neb. thread!

October 28, 2010
EAST LANSING -- Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio reinstated Chris L. Rucker effective immediately Thursday night, and the cornerback may play Saturday in the Spartans' Big Ten showdown at Iowa.

Rucker was released from Ingham County Jail on Thursday after serving an eight-day jail sentence as result of a plea bargain from an operating while intoxicated charge from Oct. 11 in East Lansing.

This may be hard for you to comprehend, but getting arrested during the off season (July) and then going to jail and fulfilling Fran's requirements to get reinstated in September is slightly different than getting arrested on October 11th and being reinstated on October 28th.

There are plenty of IA coaches (Alfraud for example) that you could of brought up, but feel free to ride off into the sunset on your moral high horse.

It essentially means that whatever punishment he’s received the previous 6 times isn’t working. And that he’s incredibly stupid.

KF would of nip this in the butt after the 1st one and I'm not joking. Bad or not it's about teaching the young man accountability

I got my license suspended for an unpaid ticket when I was really young. Got pulled over and taken to jail! I’m definitely not a genius, but it only took me one time to learn my lesson. This guy must be borderline mentally handicapped!

I wonder if he is as slow to learn on the football field. If he was caught driving seven times you know he probably drove many more times when he didn't get caught + what was his offense that got his license suspended in the first place. That was probably another series of events as I think IF his first offense was a DUI charge I think it takes more than one offense to get a suspended license.

I thought it's been kinda slow around here this week... I usually could give two shits about other team's player's legal issues, but damn dude, 7 times in a year and some change?!? That's more comical than criminal... Dummy

since Jok was brought up...do you even need a license to ride a moped? apparently you do? Is that something new? are moped's registered? I always thought that moped incident with Jok was ridiculous, but obviously I'm unfamiliar with the regs.

Generally when you get pulled over for driving while suspended there is an additional fine and an additional amount of time put on the original suspension. By the 7th DUS he is probably barred for several years, has thousands in fines, and won't be able to find auto insurance.

A buddy of mine had the exact same thing occur. It was a $5 parking ticket he never paid. It was hilarious looking back on it.

I lived in a downtown apartment at the time, we all got off work and were heading up to my place to kill off a freshly purchased 12 pack. Cops going through the alley, saw us carrying the beer, stopped us to see if any cans were opened yet.

LJS...evidently, this isn't what I'd term a moving violation, more administrational than anything. LJS is going to play.

None of which, apparently, is a deterrent to him hopping behind the wheel...

Turns out to be a big nothing burger.

Who knew? Mis information out there. He wasn't stopped 7 times for driving on a suspended license.

"Secretary of State spokesman Fred Woodhams said if Scott paid the impeding ticket and also paid a reinstatement fee, he would be able to continue practice driving."

That's hilarious. It turns out LJ has been practicing driving all these years. When will he finally learn to drive?
