Mt Rushmore of First Ladies. This list includes

The Mt. Rushmore of beautiful first ladies includes Jackie Kennedy. Nancy Reagan even in her prime was not attractive. Betty Ford was not attractive and Dolley Madison? OMFG!

Laura Bush = Wood. I'd make her bark like a dog for me.
Jackie Kennedy was a timeless beauty. Absolute wood.
Beyond that you have a whole lot of gals were pretty big in the hips and kinda manly looking. I suppose that was the style until about 80 years ago or so. Of course, we don't exactly have pictures of a young Martha Washington to ogle.
 
I would put Laura Bush up there, too and that's a damn shame. Honestly, our presidents have not done well with the ladies. You would think guys that have that much going for them could bag some beauties. Frankly, I'm disappointed.
 
I know I'll take a beating for this...but I never have thought Jackie O was all that and a bag of chips.

Good looking? Sure. I wouldn't necessarily call her beautiful though.

I get this. It's probably true that she is more of a "beautiful for a ...." type of woman. She is def beautiful for a first lady though. And wood.

Nancy (Davis) Reagan has too many stretch marks around her mouth.

Dolly Madison would easily replace her. Regardless of your thread....there were "first ladies" long before 1900.......


But what an empty thread..........
 
If we're talking in their prime, I'd argue for Martha
Washington or Barbara Bush. Both were far better looking than Mrs. Carter.

I didn't put names on them, but I'm guessing you'll figure that out. But, while we're at it, here's another First Lady that's not too bad. Hint: Also wife of a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

I agree Jackie definitely makes the cut. She had the advantage of being younger than your average first lady and still in or near her prime.

Nancy Davis (Reagan) was a pretty little thing when she was an actress, but she did not age well.

Laura Bush - mature beauty.

I like her views well enough, but she isn't attractive to me.
 
After the first 2-3, this becomes difficult - but I can get to four with the addition of Grace Coolidge:

1.) Melania
2.) Jackie
3.) Nancy
4.) Grace Coolidge

Honestly I've never seen pics of Nancy or Laura younger but I'm willing the bet that both were quite attractive.
