This one hits close to home. I don’t know the POS who killed the woman, but I do know her. I hired Alexis about 4 years ago as a caregiver for my father. She provided care for him, part-time, for about a year. She shared a lot of personal information with my father and I. We were aware she had issues choosing good men. 3 baby daddy’s and none of them worth a crap. I also know she had lost custody of one of her kids from her first marriage, so she wasn’t little miss innocent either. But she most certainly didn’t deserve to die. I knew her as a sweet young lady who, imo, choose POS men for boyfriends/husbands.

My Dad actually yelled at one of her stalker baby daddies from his wheelchair one day when the POS drove by his home. “Leave her the F alone.” My dad is still a tough guy from his wheelchair.

I hadn’t seen Alexis for a couple years. She called me a year or so ago and wondered if she could bring her newest toddler , #4, to my Dad’s so he could meet the kid. She never stopped over.

Short version of the murder/suicide by cop. Apparently the two were having a significant disagreement Tuesday and it carried into the evening. What we’ve heard is that he shot her. Panic’d and took the kids to his parents. Went back to the house, where the police had been called by neighbors. Police confronted him. He fired shots. A Shelby county deputy shot and killed him. What we don’t have yet confirmed is when she was murdered in relation to her kids being taken to the grandparents. It’s possible he took the kids the the grandparents first, then went back and shot her. We do know that she was not dead when the police arrived. She likely was barely hanging on. Life flighted and then dies at the hospital. We do know the deputy and his name has not been released yet.
