Murin gets new Dapper Dan opponent - Gomez out with injury

Max Murin was supposed to wrestle #3 Austin Gomez at the Dapper Dan/Pitt Wrestling Classic, but will now face #7 Tanner Litterell. Gomez had to have his appendix removed. Jacob Warner also competing this weekend.

Bummer. As someone that has had their appendix removed, take your time and there will be no issues. Some people are ready to go full speed after a week and it takes some people a full month.

I was a month removed from it and after a 30min drill, I thought about dying. I'd definitely take that month and relax and wait until I was cleared.

It took me 2-3 weeks, but that was non-contact intense exercise. Not sure how long it would have taken to feel comfortable back on the mat. Either way, this will definitely have an effect on his junior preparation.

And to add to that, he had the appendix removed, and then he made the trek over to St Louis for the post-tourney Cyclone Wrestling Club get together at the hotel. (I go to Nationals with all ISU fans, I get some great looks walking around there with my Iowa Wrestling shirt).

He was in St Louis when he had his appendix attack and had to go to urgent care and then to hospital while in St Louis.

Was a little slow at the social.
