I'll post one link, but if you do a little searching you are quickly linked to some websites that are deeply racist. An Oklahoma Army reservist, and Muslim, decided to challenge some bigoted gun range owners who have a sign posted proclaiming they will deny service to Muslims.
I don't see any way the actions of the of the gun owner is supported in the courts.

He didn't go there to shoot. He went there to raise hell. So, I'm not sure he will have a leg to stand on. This happened last week. But the range deserves any negativity that happens to it due to the idiotic sign.

Why do you even care Luke? More important stuff to worry about

So, shut up and get to the back of the bus?

Yeah, and after 8 years of the Obama "Change Yourself" Agenda you should know that it's more important to be politically correct that to be worried about your personal safety.

Why would anyone in this specific situation fear for their personal safety?

Can't anyone see they did this out of love for the Muslims? If a Muslim showed up at a gun range, they may well be shot! It's just best to protect the Muslims from that kind of reception...

A good question to ask is if someone were openly Muslim why would they want to go to a shooting range in Oklahoma?
Bernie Sanders thinks he has a chance in Oklahoma.

Clearly Oklahoma is a blossoming liberal bastion deep in our racist heartland.

OK, probably not. But maybe not as bad as I thought.

Or it could be that there are so few Democrats in OK that Bernie figures he can have dinner with every one of them over the next week.

Or hold a town hall meeting with all of them in a hotel room.

Doesn't a private business have the "right to refuse service to anyone"?? I always thought so...

Obviously a dumb sign and the asshat gets whatever comes his way... but if he just showed some couth about it he could, in fact, keep any Muslims from shooting there.

This seems to be up for discussion these days.

That right seems pretty broad until it strays into areas where we, as a society, think it's a bad idea.

So you can always throw out someone who is being obnoxious, aggressive, offensive and so on - as long as you define those terms reasonably. But if your action is based on race, religion and some other things, most of us think that's inappropriate.

But is it inappropriate enough to say you can't do it? That's the question.

In an ideal free market, the consumer would either punish this behavior or the self-limitation would spur competition. But that's probably not going to work in OK.

So do we ignore the blatant bigotry or do something about it?

Listen, I'm not supporting this guys position, nor do I think he should be allowed to put a sign on the front saying No Muslims...

I just think we have to be careful telling private businesses how they have to operate. Slippery slope. The next thing you know you have 2 biker gangs in the same restaurant shooting up the place.

Fair enough, but what is the phrase opposite of a slippery slope that describes a country where people can be refused goods and services for their color, gender, or religion?

Heck, I'd get nervous if only 1 biker gang was shooting up the place.

Then again, I'm not sure I'd have the balls to put up a "No Bikers" sign. Seems like asking for trouble.

When you get right down to it, when you post a "No Whomever" sign, you ARE sort of asking for pushback, aren't you?

Probably shouldn't be surprised - or unprepared - when you get that pushback.

On that theory, I'm going off line now and will be posting signs on my door and yard saying "No Pretty Women."

Then I'll change the sheets and chill some wine.

Not sure... but I would rather err on the side of personal freedoms then on the side of the collective and their whims.

In all reality, it's his business and it's up to him to decide IMO. Let him feel the weight of his decision through loss of business, if in fact would happen at all.

Generally these things come down to whether someone who is presumably licensed to conduct business with the public, and who depends on tax supported public roads and utilities and so on to be able to receive and serve customers - whether that business really has a right to deny service to some segment of that same public based on things like gender, religion and so on.

At some level of operation you can say "I'm a club." That gives you plenty of freedom to discriminate. But if you are really operating as a business that caters to the public and just call yourself a club to gain the freedom to discriminate, then you could run into trouble.

I'm surprised they didn't welcome him and then cheerfully hand him a "shooting vest" with a bullseye on it.

Does my private residence, which is of course connected to public roads and utilities, qualify as a place where I have to let anybody inside to use it for its intended purpose(s)?

No, but your wife's mouth qualifies.
