Etudiants Muslmans de France, a national association of Muslim students in France, issued a video statement condemning the Paris attacks and expressing grief and solidarity. The message, in French, is composed in an almost poetic style, and is being shared with the hashtag #NousSommesUnis — We Are United.

Here is an English translation.

One for all and all for humanity.
Nearly 120 dead. A hundred wounded.
Three days of mourning because of eight suspected terrorists.
France is plunged into chaos and terror.
And I’m speechless …
They think they are waging war against the Crusaders,
and invoke the Quran and rely on its verses.
But shedding the blood of the innocent does not follow any law.
If they do not understand, I do not understand.
Will my heart have enough time to heal?
With Charlie Hebdo, Thalys and Paris attacked.
“I feel so sad for France,” my heart screams out loud,
and my faith follows my heart.
My faith, whose foundations are shaken.
By 120 deaths and millions of wounded hearts.
By what the terrorists did, convinced they made the right choice.
But the right faith will always condemn these attacks.
They wanted to weaken France.
They have strengthened the heart of the French.
A cry will be stronger: it is the cry of brotherhood.
One for all, and all for humanity.
We are and remain united forever.

Round them up and put them all in camps. That's what the Party of "Freedom" would do.

They need to do this every day. They need to be willing to say this, be targeted by the killers, and still keep on saying it every day. They need to call out by name those who attend the hate mosques. The generation preceding this has fubar for the muslim young.

Need more of that.

If the large majority of Muslims are nonviolent, they need to become more vocal.

No one on the right has ever suggested that. But we did have one POTUS actually do that. FDR rounded up over a hundred thousand Americans of Japanese decent, take away their property and put them in concentration camps. That's right one of your Hero's

There were plenty of wingers who wanted to round up the Muslims and put them in camps after 9/11. And now you're running candidates who don't think Muslims should be allowed in the White House, you have governors illegally saying that they won't accept Muslim refugees (Guess what? Individual states cannot usurp federal immigration law), and there are plenty on your side who think that no Muslims at all should be allowed over here, period from that region.

But yeah, go back in time several decades to justify your hate of these people.

Nice retort. Care to address the fact that idiots like you are demonizing Muslims?

Link to me "demonizing" Muslims?

I definitely have proof of you marginalizing and profiling.

You really need to control your emotions.

You're not demonizing Muslims? Fair enough. Does this mean that you think that ISIS isn't representative of Islam and that Muslims should be treated with respect instead of being assumed of being terrorists?

"A cry will be stronger: it is the cry of brotherhood."

the muslim brotherhood? oh, how unfortunate. they should not have used that

It's a ruse the majority have an affiliation with ISIS.

My favorite post of the thread.

The one where Huey admits he's making crap up/flat out lying about other posters.

Obviously drunk and realizing he's being called out on his nonsense, he then passes out for the remainder of the night.

Awesome.

I know.

It's never THAT kind of socialism.

It the GOOD kind. You know, the kind the world has never seen.
I agree that followers of capitalism and socialism should have to defend those philosophies as they exist (or have existed) in the world. But they shouldn't have to defend things that don't actually represent those philosophies.

So, for example, while I might argue that fascism and Nazism are logical consequences of the capitalist ideology, and you might argue that Stalinism is the logical consequence of socialism, I do not actually count either as examples of capitalism or socialism, respectively.

But we do have examples of each. Plenty for capitalism - both good and bad. Also plenty for socialism - mostly good. You can name the examples yourself.

Until they get their encrypted message that it is their turn to kill and blow themselves up.

Have any of the good Muslims ever ratted a radical out? Are we to believe none of them know anything about the radicals?

If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem.
