Well when you put LB's on WR you can't blitz. You have to have help over the top, just in case.
Iowa coaches never make adjustments and this one was a prime example of our poor our coaching staff is at making adjustments.

The Bison did a great job with down and distance. It was Iowa's poor run D and getting out muscled up front that caused this. They put Iowa in a tough situation because you don't want to blitz your LBs on a run play and open up the third level if the RB pops through the hole.
OK. Now I get it. Yeah, lets give it a shot every now and again. I don't know that it would have made much of a difference in this particular game, but there is such a thing as making a tackle behind the line of scrimmage while blitzing, even when they run the ball.
And perhaps it might make the other Staff wonder if a blitz might be coming .................... nah, that would make it too hard for Kirk to be pals after the game.
there was a period of years when we lost a few games due to the inability to get 1 first down late in a game w/ a tight lead.
