My first “sovereign citizen” encounter

Was behind one at a light and at first glance I thought it was a Mexico license plate - but actually had and eagle and shield and some mumbo jumbo with American State Citizen written at the top.

You could see his rear view mirror and dash were all wired up with cameras.

These people are so weird.

There was a guy who was a Facebook friend of one of my friends who was a sovereign citizen. He kept citing a couple of court cases that according to him meant we don’t have to be licensed unless we’re driving for commercial purposes. You can ‘travel’ for free, he claimed.

He was constantly getting stopped and arrested for what he claimed was “driving while black.”

No, dumbass, you got stopped and arrested because you haven’t had valid plates or a drivers license or liability insurance in years.
