Iowa's defense has potential injury concerns. Defensive end Nate Meier was reported to be limited in practice this week because of a leg ailment. He was named third-team All-Big Ten and is described by a Big Ten talent evaluator as "a high-energy guy and a good technician — really disruptive."

CJ was limited a few weeks, too. So what. He'll play. Good news is Nelson has gotten experience and Cook isn't a runner. Iowa will have to blitz to pressure Cook even if Meiwr plays.

Hope Meier can go, but I've been pretty impressed by Nelson. If necessary, I think he'll rise to the occasion and seize the moment.

Limited in practice? Who cares. Smart move to not get him injured and have him ready for Saturday.

Ferentz said he and Nieman were both limited but expected to play (if concussion protocol keeps going well for Ben). Nate will play and I am sure he will be fine!

He is limited because they want him to get healed up. I don't see what the big deal is. Kirk reported this in his presser this isn't some inside info.

Yes, he left Nebraska with an injury. Hopefully he plays.

If not, Matt Nelson's opportunity to shine.

Next man in!

Remember listening to Will Clark (SF Giants) being interviewed about his rather serious injury...asked whether he would be able to make it back to the field for the upcoming Dodgers series...he looked and smiled..."I am hurting, but not nearly enough to miss the Dodgers series...I will be back...full throttle for them." I would guess that is the same for all the Iowa injured right now.
