I look back on it now and I think the committee should have done alabama-georgia in the semis I don't like this SEC for the national title match up but maybe that's just because I'm a big Homer. I will be rooting for Georgia I'm not convinced they're going to win but I will be rooting for them

I didn't think Oklahoma was the best team but would have been the better matchup against Alabama considering the contrasting styles both teams play.

Originally, I said I wanted Georgia to win (and I do like Georgia more than Bama) but I don't want to see a 3rd SEC team win a title in recent history. 4th if you include the Gators as recent history.

Oh but you should. SEC has speed and athletes. Forget that they gave up 55 to Wake Forest and in addition to that got schooled by Northwestern, Texas, Notre Dame, UCF in bowls, not to mention LSU losing to Troy. SEC has speed and athletes. If you're not mesmerized you should be.

And if you are mesmerized, 2008 called, it wants its stupidity back.

I’m thinking Georgia’s defense opens strong and puts a goose egg in the first half. I can also see that Georgia offense getting a couple of field goals and maybe runs a wildcat right before halftime to go up something like 13-0.

I’ll finish the rest of my prediction in about 90 minutes...



Georgia is a very sound team. For obvious reasons, a close mirror to Alabama.

The fact that you're so bedazzled by the SEC is just sad. This is a Georgia team that had to escape against an Oklahoma team that lost to ****ing ISU. Yeah I get the whole transitive property doesn't count thing, but what's really cute is that you seem to actually believe these SEC teams are that much better. Yes Bama and Georgia are good teams. The rest of the SEC sucks. But enjoy living in the past.
