Oct draft wtf? What's the latest on college players declaring date? Sick of waiting on what Garza does.

Sounds like they may be considering permanently postponing the start of the season until Christmas. I'd enjoy that as long as they don't move college hoops around. They'd have to figure out something for underclassmen looking at declaring but I don't see why the draft evaluators stuff can't happen well in advance. Or even do the draft in between regular season and playoffs with draftees not joining until following season.

Still think it’s weird allowing it to run into football season but whatever.

As an Iowa fan, I’m mostly concerned about how this affects Garza’s ability to declare/not declare.

They've already extended the date to announce they're pulling out of the draft. At worst, he enrolls and starts school, maybe even starts practicing, then has to decide.

Sounds like there will likely be no or limited fans at games from what I'm reading.

True. Would just kinda suck for the Hawks to start playing pick up or practicing and then poof he’s gone.

All of the nice hotels and resorts in Orlando just got considerable bookings.
As of now, all players and families will stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. They’re basically going to be living in a bubble with limited contact with anyone outside of “the bubble.”

A month between possible Finals game 7 and start of next season's training camp. That is a crunched time schedule.

That's a pretty neat place to be stuck. Cool views. Live animals. Amazing restaurants onsite.

Not like they don't already live charmed lives, but that's still pretty great.

I thought Disney was open or about to?
Disney will not be fully open for a long time. They are opening two parks on July 11 and the other two 5 days later, but extremely limited capacity and lots of restrictions. No characters, parades, fireworks, etc.

It’s going to be awesome. They’ll pretty much have the entire resort set aside for them and the restaurants and pools in that area. They will have to clean their own rooms though since cast members are not allowed to enter their rooms.

That’s racist.
Just sayin.

Thankfully, the Chicago Bulls season
ended today. Their coach Jim Boylan
can now be replaced as soon as his
successor is named. This was a mercy
killing of the Chicago Bulls who needed
some good news as they start to focus
on next season.

Desus and Mero nailed this one. Being trapped in a Disney resort with their families is not the NBA lifestyle a lot of guys signed up for.

There are only 22 teams in the NBA or are some teams just not invited back? I’m too lazy to look it up. That’s how far removed I am from the National Boring-as-all-hell-maybe-even-more-boring-than-soccer Association.

There are 30 teams. This tweet lists the 22 teams who are in. The other 8 teams are out.
