More great news for high school athletes....
I like the 4 year turnover. That's always been part of tha appeal for college sports. It's just more degradation of the product that became popular.
Might as well pay them straight up and have their employment and salary on contract. And no real reason to have anything tied to academics at this point.
I'm just hanging by a thread to college football, and it was easily my favorite sports entertainment for 40 years. Never thought I'd be so indifferent to the game.
Do you believe Kate Martin was a WNBA player after her 4th year of college? If a player can't develop athletically to make it to the NFL. NBA, WNBA .......
One more year will not help.
The Murray twins say "hi".If a player can't develop athletically to make it to the NFL. NBA, WNBA .......

Keegan, who entered the NBA 3 years after graduating from high school, and Kris, who entered the NBA 4 years after graduating? Those guys needed more than 4 years to develop? The Murray twins say "hi".
Oops I thought it was 4 and 5 years. my bad. People still develop at different rates so I don't see a need to cap eligibility post high school graduation. There are Mormons who go on missions before/ during college for example.Keegan, who entered the NBA 3 years after graduating from high school, and Kris, who entered the NBA 4 years after graduating? Those guys needed more than 4 years to develop?

Its also part of the teams culture. We've seen this from the womens team for a long time. Student athletes...
I believe that many, if not most, of these players are playing as much or more for their education, than their desire to play in the WNBA.
