NCAA Men's programs that have fallen off a cliff.

Looking for programs that were respectable that are seemingly in the gutter right now in multiple sports.

I'll start...

Oklahoma St.
Losing record in football and getting housed in basketball. I think they are 10-9??

My honorable mention was UNC but they are right about where they always are in football but are totally missing in hoops. The ACC isn't even a dominant conference anymore.

Basketball has unperformed since Mick left. No tourney appearance the last 6 years. Unlikely this year.
Football starting to dip too with 2 losing seasons in a row.
Not gutter….. yet.

Butler basketball is slumping the last 5 years with a losing record.
Once a consistent tourney team winning 20-30 games a year has only won 20 once in the last years.
I don’t see them improving over the next few years either. Not sure they have the resources to be competitive in Big East moving forward.

Throw Georgetown bball in there as well.
Haven’t sniffed the tourney since 2014. Three years in a row under Ewing where they won single digit games.
Ewing was a Scott Frost type of hire. He made it worse.

I’ll stay in the ACC and go with Virginia. Football team has yet to recover after the 2022 shooting, and Bennett’s retirement has left the basketball team in shambles apparently.

May be a shocker, but Wichita State. With leaving to the Big East haven’t heard a peep from them

My Alma mater, Valparaiso. Used to dominate their conference and make the NCAA every year, sweet 16 in 1998 even. Ever since Bryce Drew left they have been about a 500 team at best.

They jumped conferences a couple of times but that isn't what caused it. The Drew's used to have connections overseas and recruited high level players there. The current coach and the last coach could not seem to do that.

- Alreasdy mentioned Georgetown
- Seton Hall used to always be a lock for the tourney
- St. John’s was reliable as well

I didn't put them because they are so far past relevance in my eyes. I might have been too young to remember them being good.

I think they moved to American Athletic Conference.

Big East is all Catholic I think.
