NCAA/NIT Selection Proposal

Delay the playing of the NCAA for 1 week and turn the NIT into a play in tournament where the NIT Final Four get to play play in games for the NCAA tournament. I think that balance out some of the errors of the selection committee and make both tournaments more exciting.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Make the MSG finals the neutral play in game site/opening NCAA round and give the non-autobid conference champs an autobid because they deserve it.

Not a bad idea but logistics would need to be altered. And I don't really like tinkering with how the Big Dance is set up. Closest thing to perfect as far as entertainment value goes.

Too many NIT games in a short span unless you cut the NIT field in half

They aren't going to delay the NCAA tournament a week to determine the #11 seeds.
