What seed does Iowa have to get to in order to some preferable tournament locations? Do they give geographic preference to top 4 seeds? There’s a possibility of St Louis to Indy regional.

If I’m reading the bracket right 1 v 16s and 8 v 9s are in Omaha. As a current 4 seed that would be a tough finish.
There are 2 different pods (4 teams per pod) assigned to each location on the first weekend of the tourney.
They dont have to even be from the same bracket.
Iowa could be a 4 seed and end up in Omaha. That would mean the 13 would be there and also the 5/12 matchup from the same bracket would be.
The other 4 team pod could be from a totally different bracket. A 1 seed KU could be there and that would mean the 16 seed and the 8/9 from their region would be there as well.

Cincinnati (7), Iowa (10), Tennessee (2) and Colgate (15) were one pod in Columbus. UNC (1), Iona (16), Utah State (8) and Washington (9) were the other pod.
Kansas and Baylor will take Omaha pods as 1/2 seeds.
Louisville, Butler, Dayton all want St. Louis.
So, we either need to get ahead of 2 of those three for St. Louis or fall to be one of the teams assigned to the St. Louis pods with one of those teams.

Are you thinking that everyone that plays in St. Louis plays in Indy if they advance to the second week?
Well, all of the teams that want St. Louis also want Indy, so a good chance that one of the STL pods heads to Indy.
