And how many of these athletes/blue chippers are still on the team? How many bailed?
Cut them some slack. They decided to not go to a bowl that they weren’t invited to. They were almost ready to possibly get an invite to a bowl that took a better team than them. If only 15 or 20 more teams opted out they would have almost have gotten an invite.

Nebraska did have to get past Mckendree, Youngstown State, and Arkansas State to win it. Probably would have finished 1-2 if this was football.
