So Mrs. Dragon (no pics) and I are going to become new dog parents. The dogs will be apricot (boy) and girl (blonde with slight reddish tone). Girl dog is sort of a priss and the boy dog the goofball.

We want a pair of names to go together. She already said caramel and copper as an example but is shot that shit down. Thinking something formal or ultra masculine like Bear or Sir Hayden Fry. Need help, thanks in advance.

The little gangsta lady in my profile pic is named Roxy. But most of the time shes either “Pretty Lady” or “Little One” or “Hey! Stop eating that!”.

Beans and grits.

I do that and this is all I’ll think of

Don't have a dog and don't plan on getting one, but if I ever did, boy or girl, I would name it Kamear. That way I wouldn't need to use a name and a command to call my dog. Can't help you with another name to go with it.

Donny and ivanka.

If you named one “Stain,” then you could stick your head out the door and yell “Come Stain!”

Pick a name from tv show characters you like. Often times last names are great dog names. We named ours Beckett for Stania Katic's character from Castle.

Rules followed.

This is more or less what we do at our house, although we have kind of landed on names from Elizabethan era literature or historical names from roughly the same period.

My wife adopted another cat recently, and asked me if I liked the name "James?"

My sense was that this particular naming was already a done deal, so I jokingly suggested that she name him after James VI of Scotland, more specifically "JAMES VI, KING OF SCOTLAND & JAMES I, KING OF ENGLAND"

She seemed to like that idea, but I notice that she quickly shortened it to "James Stewart."

................

Her other cat is named "Hamlet," and his predecessor was named "Macbeth." Macbeth also had a nickname of "Grimalkin, which he seemed to recognize. The three witches in Shakespeare's play called their cat "Grimalkin, so it kind of lined up.

Oh yes, the rules:

If they are brother and sister, the female Damn and the male, Hell. Then the ‘last’ name is Ifiknow. That way if someone asks for the dogs name you can say - Damn if I know and Hell if I know. 😜🤣

I've always thought pets named themselves how they behaved.

There's no hurry...it'll eventually emerge.
