Drake at Drake (favorite for Mo. Valley, with a killer non-conference schedule) was a good win.

Iowa beats Kansas, Tennessee and BYU the voters and the nation can't ignore this team.

Tennessee is an IDK for sure game, but Iowa is a team worthy of ranking based in their wins so far. Va. Tech is a quality program with returning players.

Nebraska, ranked 21 has played sub-level teams as have most ranked teams this time of year. Play small time opponents and run up scores is the name of the game. Not that Iowa doesn't do the same but Lisa and Jan schedule opponents to prepare the team for the conference and maintain Iowa's relevance.

This Iowa team is a blend of veterans and youth which has still to find the chemistry and combinations to meet the conditions it will face, but considering Guyton is still to appear and Addison's progress, how can we not feel optimistic. I would hope to see more of Ava at the post. Jensen has a reason posting Hannah instead of Ava. Jan is a master and bringing Ava along properly is important.

Hey, everyone chokes from time to time. Caitlin Clark and Iowa lost at home to the mighty IUPUI Jaguars back in 2021.

A game that still haunts me. But just because we're not immune doesn't mean I can't root for others' downfalls.

My point wasn't the result of one game. It was Iowa's unfair position being unranked playing a relatively difficult schedule compared to Nebraska's 21 ranking playing Omaha, SE Louisiana, Southern and South Dakota.

Additionally, their non-con schedule consists of north alabama, Creighton, kansas city and lindenwood.

Iowa's remaining non-con schedule: Kansas, Washington State, rhode island, BYU, Tennessee and Iowa State.
