Does Weisman have a 100% chance at being hired? Or only 99%?

HIRING NEW COACH

Iowa has an opening for a full-time assistant strength and conditioning coach for football. Iowa employed four full-time strength and conditioning coaches and one full-time intern. The staff is converting the internship into a full-time coaching position.

If it was an intern position, I'd agree that Angerer and Weisman would be great. Now that it's a full-time position, I wouldn't count on it being as likely

My prediction is that it is moving to FT in order to hire Mark. We'll see.

I'm not too up to date on everything--- why do you guys think Weisman is such a likely choice? Am I missing something?

My speculation: the moment he left the Bengals after being cut, he returned to Iowa City. As a student here, there was always talk about him having a future in strength and conditioning.

He was on the sideline at Northwestern, wearing an Iowa Football Strength & Conditioning sweatshirt. He was in a running back picture tweeted out by RB coach Chris White.

Now the S&C internship is switched to a FT position. My speculation is that its a move to make a spot for Weisman.

Maybe I'm wrong. We'll see.

Grant Steen is currently at Southern Cal and could possibly be interested in the Hawks for obvious reasons,

How about Brad Rogers? former full back, coaches loved him. currently grad assistant at Nevada after one year at small college in New York. KF always spoke highly of him and was a great teammate.

I wouldn't read too much into this. His gf is still in Iowa City and he came back and went to a game with sideline passes. He's not the first nor the last player to do this.

Wonder if Steen is a serious candidate. Probably need to get someone primed for Doyle s replacement some day.

Appears Steen has had an opportunity to live in some nice places and likely nice jobs. With upheaval at USC, it may be time to head home

Wasnt the Northwestern game in Evanston?

Bump.

Word is leaking out that Weisman is joining the S&C staff as an intern.

He was with the strength and conditioning coaches at Ladies Football Academy. Wish I would have paid better attention to how he was introduced.

If I remember correctly, Mark was introduced as one of several S&C interns vying for 1 permanent position on the staff.
