So Iowa has had guys for the last 3 years be B1G player of the year candidates. They have also had several other guys be first teamers in the Fran Era.

Kris will be next big time star. After that, who will be our stud? Of all the guys I have watched on film, I am going with Josh Dix. Love the kids game.

Right, Kris is a no brainer, at least first team ALL B1G. Perkins is still gaining confidence and probably never be a 20 point type scorer, but I think he could be a 2nd Team ALL B1G type player, maybe better who knows?
I think Sandfort is a lot better than I imagined. He checks a lot of boxes, which is amazing for a true freshman.
His shooting is in the Jok/Weiskamp territory. He has a decent off the dribble/drive game as well.

I would probably pick Bowen over Dix, but solely on video that I have seen + gut. I really like Joe T. and Ulis but Joe continues to struggle with decision making/pace while Ulis has struggled shooting the ball from everywhere except FT line. I could see Bowen passing them up early and making a name for himself.

IF Patrick continues to get stronger and his endurance continues to increase his ability to finish at the basket will improve. As his confidence in his shot increases he will be a more effective shooter. IF those things happen he will be a very high level player. By the time he graduates he will hopefully be recognized for how good he is, not just as the coaches son.

Not picking on the kid, but I doubt Patrick ever gets stronger or longer with his endurance. Certainly many on this site have better medical knowledge than me, but I think these are lingering effects from his Thyroid Cancer. I think his biggest improvement will come from just getting a better understanding of what he can get away with and when he needs to dish it off.

Getting experience like this will also be huge for them next year. I think this is going go to propel the perculator to the next level, he’s oozing confidence on the floor and in his interviews. Seems like it’s just a case of him finally being 100% healthy.
