I am taking my son to his first ever Hawkeye duel. Are there any opportunities to get autographs? If so, when and where? He is super excited!

If your lucky you MIGHT be able to catch Tom when he arrives at the parking lot you have to show up very early. You probably don't want to do that because of the temperatures and he might already be inside. I was on my way out of Carver one time and Tom was getting out of his truck that's how I got my Pic.

After the dual Dan Gable is always giving pics and chats a little with fans. He sits on about the third row back almost floor level opposite of my seat. He doesn't stay too long so try to get down there right after the dual. I got a few pics with him.

As far as wrestlers go, almost all of them hang out in the new trophy room. I don't know if they do that all the time and they might not let you in but Terry, Desanto, PK, Parco, J Warner, and a bunch of others were in there after the Iowa State dual. I thought Terry was giving wrestling room tours I was like hell yeah but it looked like he was just chatting with family. The doors were locked but I managed to get in but I'd try anyway.

Lot of kids last night were down by the tunnel entrance getting autographs from whoever was passing by. They kept DeSanto occupied for quite a while.

They are dual meets. Not duel meets - no one is shooting at each other at high noon. It’s called a dual because there are two teams. Sometimes wrestling has three teams compete; they are called tri-meets. Sometimes there are even four teams, which are called quad meets. Common mistake, but maybe worth explaining why it’s called a dual.
