125: Spencer Lee: We are set for the foreseeable future.
133: Paul Glynn: Better than advertised but not what we want or expect for our lightweights at Iowa.
141: Turk, Happel, Murin: Doesn't look like what I was told about Murin to 133 is going to play out, at least this year. Can any of these guys make the jump to be a high AA for us. I say no but it is early for a pair of them.
149: Lugo, Glosser: Will be a good battle next year to see who gets the nod for us. I fear that it will be the only thing they win all year. No young studs in the pipeline.
157: Mike Kemerer: Great kid, Hammer.
165: Alex Marinelli: See above.
174: Gunther, Young, Wilson: Neither is going to get us to the promised land. Neither will sniff AA.
184: Wilcke, Bowman: Fringe AA in my opinion.
197: Warner: He is going to be a great wrestler after a year with Rutt. He's pretty good now.
Hwt: Stoll: Barring any further injuries, he will contend for a title next year after Snyder and Coon leave. Hall, Nevills, Hemida and Steveson could stand in his way. This is the only weight where I am excited to see the backup. Cassioppi is going to be a killer.

Lets hear what you all think. I took my Black and Gold blinders off. The future looks great at 5 weights. That's it, in my opinion.

Yikes.

I think you are close to spot on. We are going to be awesome at a few, average at a few and going to be hurting at a few, which does not seem to fit the current championship model, but this is a way early look from 15,000 feet. I do think Hap is showing signs at 41 and I do think Cash, moving back to 84 could be a real surprise. I am going to be depressed about 33 for a long time I think, which is sad.

I could see Wilke being better than fringe AA
I feel like the jury is still out on Wilke. He hasn't beaten anyone good this year...yet and had a great couple matches at nationals last year. We will know a more after this weekend although it is a weak wt class at Midlands.

With the five listed by OP we still need 3 at least more studs to catch Penn State
When will we get the way to get them?

Here was my total goofy, unrealistic thought of the day while watching matches this afternoon:

74 - Bowman
84- $
97 - Warner

I'm a fan of Bowman. I just like how the kids wrestles. Probably can't make 74 thought, but is by no means the biggest 84 pounder.

Bowman making 74 is less crazy than Kem going back to 49, Lugo to 41 and Murin to 33 so that Young can go at 57.

Just watched our 33 pounder get a tech fall. Too bad he doesn't wrestle for us anymore...... What was the kids name that was driving that night and was the instigator in everything that happened? I would sure like to thank him. Idiot.

I think we continue to see improvement from 33, 41 and 49. These are not finished products. There will be some AA’s coming out of our current roster at some if not all of those weights.

None at 133 in my opinion. Murin is the only one who has a chance at 41. Glosser and Lugo could both possibly AA at 49 but we need Champs not 8th place finishers.

He was a very willing participant. Don’t buy all the God stuff he puts on social media. Also, if he were still at Iowa, he’d most likely be at 141.

I do think Bowman could be 174 next year. Also, I think they will hit the transfer circuit pretty hard for 133.

He may have been a 41 last year but he would wrestle wherever he wanted this year. With him and the Freshmen, we could be right there.

Except with Seth Gross on scholarship then you likely don’t land Murin and/or Warner because of scholarships...so count your blessings....
