There is no coach in the country better than FM of coaching a 5/6 seed team to an 8/9. Abysmal effort defensively with so much hanging in the balance.
This team lives and dies on the three way too much.
Fred did it with Lil' Hoiberg, the best player from Japan,. Neither of which were much over 6'0 or athletic freaks.
Most of us have been Iowa fans our entire lives. Nothing about this game should surprise us. It us sooooooooooooo ****ing frustrating. How does Iowa completely forget to show up today?
You would think after many, many years of focusing on defense in the off-season that we would actually play some version of defense.
I think he is a good coach but ya, definitely hasn’t always come up big on key games. He’s one of the worst coaches that consistently reached the ncaa tournament. He really does seem to have a ceiling that looks unlikely to move. Congratulations on an another ncaa tournament but dang, he’s can’t seem to reach a next level.

Yeah, we cannot give up almost 60% shooting and expect to win. We rarely get easy buckets and have to be hot or at least very warm to win games. Ugh.

Tanked this game and will go 1-1 in the BTT, so the committee will place his team in the Midwest Region's 8/9 game. Would have to survive that, and then Kansas, but would get to play in Des Moines those first 2 games and then play in Kansas City - if ultra lucky enough to reach the Sweet16.

Everyone should now be officially prepped for the usual Now that’s it’s March. An early exit from either or both Tournaments should come as no surprise, in fact it should be expected.
