Nick Baer: Our one and ONLY clutch player

I feel like if we don't make our move and get the lead with 4 minutes left we have no chance if it is tied or close with a minute left.
Baer was awful most of the game. How do you only get 5 total points out if 3 senior starters? 8 total if you add in top guy off the bench.
What game did you watch? Baer is the one who got them back in the game.
He should have gotten the shot at end....No one else wanted to take it
Baer sure hustles but he his talent is limited. He has trouble guarding athletic players. He is only a freshman so he is still hungry as apposed to seniors. He had a few good minutes at the end
Until I see something different, Nick Baer, who has plenty of talent, thank you very little, will be
STARTING next season. And I, for one, am d*** glad he worked his bu** of to give us something to be proud of, today.
From my eyes - Baer plays hard and has great desire - he needs to be that way to get minutes. Starters know they will get their minutes regardless of their play. The other observation I have made is Fran is wound too tight when they aren't winning and it rubs off on the team.
He did work his but off today but I think he will always be a role player. If he is starting next year we are in trouble. I hope I am wrong but I think his physical talent is limited.
I said most of the game. His defense on guards isn't good. I turned it off with 7 minutes to go as I couldn't watch anymore while at work. Baer wasn't playing well up to that point.
Baer at least played with some energy and emotion. The rest of the team looked pretty uptight, much like Fran after the game.
I would start Baer over clemmons and move Jok to the 2 guard.
Baer was a total disaster the first half ....to say he should start! Someone is smoking the wacky weed. every time he touched the ball the first half bad things happen. I didn't watch the second half ...I did see he scored some points! There's a reason he is a walk on. slow, cant jump ect .... he does hustle thank god it's the only thing he has going for him! I'm thinking next year box scores will look like his ...Jok 20 points ...the rest of the team 10! It's gonna be bad with this years seniors gone!
Baer played well under pressure in the second half, that shows mental toughness that the seniors don't have. For a freshman who has gotten limited playing time, his composure was impressive. The kid has an edge about him that I love. He just needs a little more strength, but he is going to have a bright bright future at Iowa.
yes Baer was bad the 1st half, but Clemmons was bad the whole game. The kids brings some energy to this team which is sorely lacking. Clemmons is not a 2 guard and really doesnt contribute the way a 2 guard should.
Baer didn't play well in 1st half, Clemmons was absolutely horrendous. Baer has limited quickness, but he does have length..he can guard some 3s...can't be much worse than Jok on defense.
Woody too slow and Maverick Morgan went off....much like that bum from Penn State did a few games back. Woody is good positional defender, but asking him to hedge seemed like it backfired with lots of easy looks for Morgan.
Baer looked good to me! But I also didn't start watching til 5 minutes into the 2nd half.
That said, I think he ought to spend a few months in the weight room with the football team
