Nick Bosa Leaving OSU

THE MAY 16 RULE
The following rule applies to rookie players who were eligible for the Principal Draft:

(i) Players who attend schools with final examinations that conclude prior to May 16* may fully participate in any activities (i.e., tryout, physical examination, three-day post-Draft rookie minicamp, or RFDP) at a club’s facility beginning May 15.

(ii)Players who attend schools with final examinations that conclude after May 16* may not participate in any activities other than the three-day post-Draft rookie minicamp until after the player’s final day of examinations.

(iii) Players who have withdrawn from school may not attend any club activity (other than the three-day post-Draft Rookie minicamp) or be visited at his campus or residence, or any other location, by any club personnel or club representative if final examinations have yet to conclude at the school. This includes drafted players, any undrafted players that have signed as free agents, and any undrafted players that have not signed.
Doesn’t say he can’t be drafted. And it’s saying until the schools finals are done, not him taking finals.

Wouldn't he have access to better medical services/rehab by staying enrolled?

Not at all. He’ll sign with an agent who will pay for medical, living expenses, training, etc. It’s basically an advance on his contract.

Even fringe players usually get agents to pay for draft prep.

And going independent, he’ll get doctors that will do best for him...not what’s best for fOSU (getting him on the field rather than long-term considerations).

I'm glad the Iowa Hawkeyes have guys who know what it means to commit to something... and to see it through.
integrity is under-rated.

If an Iowa player was of his caliber and in his situation, Ferentz himself would tell him to do exactly what Bosa is doing.

I don't think you know Kirk Ferentz very well...
quitting the team mid season is not a good habit to develop... its not a good example to set.
some people are raised better than that.

this is something I fully expect from somebody mentored by Bourban Meyer.
its not something you will ever see by somebody mentored by Kirk Ferentz.

You’re lost. End of story.
