How depleted is the GOP of decent candidates that a Trump apologist is their best hope?

It's like you guys shoved Kasich out the car door and laughed at him in the rear view mirror as you drove straight into a tree.

I doubt she would have the trumpbaggers support. After all, she took the confederate flag down from the South Carolina capital.
 
So far, Haley is one of the few who left Trump's administration with her reputation intact and on relatively good terms with Trump.

One does have to appreciate the irony of this story however. I've seen it from a couple of different sources so I think it's accurate. I also have no doubt a rather disturbing number of congressmen/senators, staffers, as well as cabinet secretaries are sharing or have shared information via personal email accounts. From a security standpoint it needs to be cleaned up if nothing else.

How depleted is the list of Dem candidates that you have people jumping in late and Hillary, yes Hillary is thinking about running again. The Dems have some good people in their ranks, but they aren't running for POTUS. Well, maybe Tulsi.

This is the best they could come up with?

I want to vote for one of them, and right now, Mayor Pete is that person (it's early). But if they can't get their act together.... Another no vote for POTUS for me.
 
If this happens as described, it's dumb. But I do think Nikki Haley is going to be the first female president of the United States.

It's not really that unusual to have late entries into the field for either race - rarely do they have any success. Bloomberg is reportedly planning on skipping the 1st 4 primary/caucus states and hanging everything on Super Tuesday (good luck with that). Deval Patrick - I have no idea why he is doing this. No one outside of New England has really hard of him, and really, are there that many big donors still out there at this point?

People jumping in late is about their own ambition. Also, Hillary is not running. I REPEAT. HILLARY IS NOT RUNNING! That is a right wing flog fest, not something remotely touching realm of reality.
Other than the crackpot Oprah whisperer, everyone in the field would be more competent than Trump as president.

the dems had all those candidates running for POTUS, now two more enter because they are afraid the field is not strong enough. Then you tell us how depleted the Republicans are? Rich indeed and only possible from a poster with a simplistic bumper sticker posts

I think that very well could be true. If she replaced Trump in 2020, I might vote for her over Biden, Sanders or Warren instead of voting third party again. If Klobuchar or Buttigieg win the nomination it would be a close call who to vote for between Haley and them. If it is Trump vs. Klobuchar or Buttigieg, then it isn't a close call at all.

I would love a world in which in 2024 (or 2020 :)) you had an election that lined up the likes of Biden, Kobuchar or Buttigieg on one side against the likes of Haley, Rubio or Romney on the other.

I'm ready for the extremist decietful demagogues like Warren and Sanders to be washed away in the garbage with Trump and get back to some normalcy.

I said thinking. All you have to do is listen to her speak. As of right now, no.

Will she? Who knows (probably not). But she is ask all the time and she doesn’t say she is not. Just says as of this day on this podcast, no.
