Paying college students, on top of a scholarship, is a joke.
NIL requests from athletes to fans is cringy, imo. The ones making the money Universities) should pay the players, not the fans who already generate billions for the universities.

Well, I don't see this turning creepy or backfiring at all.

Sheesh.
All this NIL shit is pure comedy any more.
"Here's $5, please stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" lulz
what really backfired, of course, is what happened with Proctor when he got A LOT from an Iowa booster and then turned around and headed back to Bama
Should have been a contract, if he broke it sue his buttwhat really backfired, of course, is what happened with Proctor when he got A LOT from an Iowa booster and then turned around and headed back to Bama
AgreedEveryone unite and stop watching for 1 season and all these problems with NIL would be fixed.
Yes, imo it is more cringe worthy. Is it any more cringe worthy than Brad from SWARM asking fans to donate?
Universities will be paying up to $22M to athletes next year.
Players want their NIL, too!! Download the app today!![]()

There's a reason NFL players want to play in big markets: There's more money to be made. To your point, boosters will never be kept out. Hopefully, the UNIVERSITIES (not the fans) can pay players a decent amount so booster aren't as important to recruiting.Agree, though not sure how you keep boosters out of the equation. I thought it was innovative, given where we are today, as it cuts the shark agents out of the equation (15-20%) and thought the refundable piece was an interesting angle.
Overall, the system is a mess. Would love to tear down all the ncaa bureaucracy and start over.

I find it odd that boosters are willing to give so much money to players. How many people have millions laying around that can be justified to make your FB team better. The priorities in this country are messed up.
