The first two brackets have us playing Kirk Speraw's old team, Central Florida, in the 2nd round. The 3rd bracket has us playing Larry Lite, and Colorado State in the 2nd. I would take either of those if they happen. That's at least some entertainment to us basketball junkies!

They announce the brackets Sunday night right, With games on Tuesday & Wednesday?

Or nothing at all. I expect ISU to pound them today, and see them in the CBI or CNIT or whatever tourneys they have these days.
The reason I said that was that the other two projections cited in the OP have the Toads as a high seed. Seemed inconsistent to have them as a three in one projection and not mentioned in another. They have an RPI in the low 60s and several good wins over rated teams. Record fairly similar to Iowa's, arguably better. Same overall record, tougher SOS and significantly better RPI.

ISU lost to them at Fort Worth and won a close game at Hilton, so I don't expect a pounding.

I would like the committee to look at the last 6, 8, maybe 10 games and have one of their metrics be "do you want to play these guys right now?". I'm not saying that puts us in, and I'm certainly not excusing it, but that to me would be a bigger factor than the Omaha debacle.

I think there are still 12 teams playing in conference tournaments who could end up as NIT automatic bids if they lose, in addition to the 5 (maybe 6 if Illinois St isn't selected for the NCAA) that are already out there. Not that Iowa is any real danger, but a lot of the teams in the projections could still end up missing the NIT if a bunch of conference tournament upsets happen in the mid-majors in the next couple of days.

There are three other brackets (32 teams) other than the one side of the bracket (8 teams) the OP listed. Maybe TCU was one of the 24 teams not listed. The OP only listed Iowa's brackets.

This, they were in every bracket. I just listed Iowa's eight team side.

So it has come to this. Now there are NIT projections, and worse, there are posters out there searching for these sites. C'mon man
