I’m all for upgrading the most important position on the field. Whom does Iowa have a realistic shot at getting via the portal that would be an upgrade to Sully?

Whoever ends up starting in 2025 better have a decent OL in front of him and receivers to throw the ball to.

I think that might be the case especially with Kirk’s “he needs to play within himself” comment headed to the locker room.

Really!!!??? Sullivan was 14 for 18 passing with a couple of throw aways for 131 yards and that is 77%. That is damn good compared to the QB play the last few years. Plus he was hurried and flushed a few times and had to run or got sacked.

We need one more second of pass protection on longer yardage downs. The running backs did really well with good averages but should have got their number called more often rather than the passing plays where Sully had to scramble and run. Need a little more pass protection to get more 20+ yards in the air passes.

Put today's Sullivan on the 2021-2023 teams and they win more games going away.

If someone beats out Sully then that is great for Iowa because he will be a better qb
