There needs to be open competition at every position, granted there are a few positions you could say are locked in. The offensive line isn't getting it done. I'm sure there are some guys behind Croston and Myers that would love a chance. 6 sacks isn't acceptable. Got to change that up. I'm sure a few linebackers would love to see the field. The DE's haven't showed pressure there has to be someone in the locker room that can rush the passer.

Iowa needs to play faster both in the game plan and on the field. They need to get out of the base offense and base defense and become more creative. Get the athletes on the field. We need more speed.

Amen but it will not happen until we have lost 6-7 games or the epitome of stupidity is the wrong guys will be yanked from the lineup; King, Jewell, etc. or he will pass over talented players on the bench for some white walk-on from a town of 10 people in Iowa. That's how KF rolls.

Need more speed out there on defense. Current DL/LB guys are slow and can't stop the run. DE Anthony Nelson has some potential. The other DE Nelson is just too slow...belongs at OT. Probably has potential to make several million a year in NFL as OT...as DE he just doesn't cut it. AT OT, Iowa missing athletic talent and it shows on OL performance.

Get younger guys out there with more athleticism. Can't do worse against the run and they will make some bigger plays. We are paying for several sub par years of recruiting in terms of depth.
