NO HITTER ALERT - JAKE ARRIETA

He might have got a break from the scorer Castro was called for an error that I thought would be a hit. So did John Kruk.

He also has a knock.

This is what makes the Cubs the Cubs. They are up 2-0 bases loaded 1 out and Castro comes up. He is 3-3 with a 2 out single, 1 out single, and 2 out double all with none on. Bases packed first pitch double play.

Didn't Burt hooten nono the Dodgers out there back in 72

Whoops sorry it was Philly back in the day

They call that an error if it's hit to short but not to second

If Millah jinxed this thing with his premature thread I'm coming after him like a howler monkey.

He had one hell of an August 6-0 with 2 ER allowed ALL month.(Both vs the White Sox.)

Then to throw a no hitter on the road at LA and their $300,000,000 payroll.

If he had a better month May he may be the Cy Young leader. (2-4 3.99 ERA)

Pretty nice for a guy whose salary is X, while Jon Lester's is 5X

He going to get more money than Jon Lester.
Maybe. He isn't a FA until after 2017. He'll be 32 when he is a FA. That will restrict the total amount of $ and years he gets. Best for the Cubs to explore a 5-6 year deal now. But, given how much they'll owe for other guys by 2018-2020 they may be forced to role the dice. Especially if they add a frontline SP this offseason.

Looked at the replay of the Castro error. Trying to figure out the outrage, that's definitely an error.

I know one big league scorer pretty well. The stories he tells are awesome.
