“I’ve seen a lot of silly analysis regarding the no tax on tips proposal, but everyone is missing the big point. The IRS spends millions going after tipped employees for mis-reporting or potential underreporting. Last administration there was a whole new task force targeting these lower income workers. By eliminating the tax altogether we can also eliminate this whole division of the IRS. That pays for any lost revenue.”

Interesting.

A complete lowering of taxes across the board policy is a Trump mandate.
Libs with voices will continue to lie and say the Trump tax cuts only enrich the wealthy and his friends.
But the paycheck stubs of the hard working lower class say different

Lost revenue from not taxing tips is estimated at $150 billion over ten years (on the low end).

Cut away, but don’t claim that eliminating a special IRS task force (if it even exists, I’m skeptical based on the source) pays for this. The lost revenue would be more than the IRS’ entire budget.

It's virtually impossible to ensure service workers report cash tips.

Which is another problem with the entire concept of an "income" tax....
