Noah Fant

I think I'm right. You post just like him and you can't resist when somebody puts down your cyclones you have to take a jab at a hawkeye player coach or fan..
Are you sure thinking is a good idea for you? You are not correct.

Wait, isn't he going into his 3rd year at ISU, same as Fant?

Weird.

I hope Fant pays attention to your link ... and manages to stay on campus through the '19 season. However, as some fans have indicated, if Fant can continue to be productive but also improve his blocking ... he could definitely find himself in contention to be a 1st or 2nd round pick in the '19 draft.

Sorry Homer, but you're mistaken. I have it on good authority that guys his age don't get into draft talk. Please see above.

But yes, I hope he has another great year and is in the position to make that decision.

Of course I was joking before ... in all seriousness, hopefully Fant isn't putting the cart before the horse. I remember how the coaches had to really ride CJ Fiedorowicz pretty hard because he seemingly had a tendency of assuming he was a NFL-level talent before he was "there" yet. From what I've gathered, Noah hasn't had the same problem yet ... hopefully he remains driven so that he can achieve his full potential (that's an exciting prospect for Hawk fans!).

Pure comedy from the past ... you gotta love gifts that keep on giving!

Thanks CyTwins! This was the Beluga caviar of crazy ...

Yes we all can be guilty of overvaluing players from the team we cheer for. But there is no system that has been created in football or that will be created where Fant and Hockenson were not far and away better than what ISU had at TE on its roster. I'd say the same about Butler and Montgomery for ISU. Those two were better at WR and RB than any player Iowa had at those positions in 2018, no matter the system.

Not only is Iowa churning out NFL players, they are churning them out early. How many guys get the chance to go to the NFL before there senior seasons? I know Kirk sells education, as he should, but there is another selling point to high rated kids who want to play in the NFL.
That's good for the players that's good for the school and if you ask around the league thinks it good also. Not many teams dominate with emphasis on tight ends, so as far as the BIG goes they're happy Iowa continues as Tight End U.

Not sure your slant, but the easy answer is..”because not many teams can turn out dominating TEs like that”

Noah told Denver media that he wanted to play TE in the NFL so he went to Iowa and that he has been talking with Kittle about life in the NFL.

So much credit to Kittle. 5th rounder who made the blueprint for teams to take notice about Iowa TE's. Hope he gets paid huge on this next one.

“Specialist” - KF

Apparently missed most of the draft coverage that’s pretty much what he is... almost every broadcast to a T mentioned his blocking and lack there of. That would make him a specialist... as a Tight End.

I Find myself thinking.... in your mind, I believe you think you’re pretty sharp and you know how to say things but you routinely leave yourself wide open. If I were you Id get off the message boards...I’ve seen people who routinely agree with you call you out… And your obsession with what is routinely considered one of the 20 best coaches in the country is bordering on needing to be institutionalized.

Seriously...

Outside of the top four or five coaches one of which just retired you can’t find a coach that is going to fit your needs... hang it up, find something else that doesn’t upset you so much.

Just some advice from a concerned citizen, I don’t want to read about you in the paper someday.

Maybe a coach that would call a time out when the opposition has an onside kick set up and his special teams is in standard return. (Minn 2011) Or a coach that knows how to coach a two minute offense.(Wisc 2010) Or a coach that understands how to manage his TOs. (Take your pick) Or or or.

Really KF stands alone in peewee level coaching blunders that cost his team Wins. So he has that going for him.

That’s kind of the point Friend on both levels..you continually walk yourself into a corner and then you routinely show how little you know about sports, football in particular but also basketball....

If you had any clue at all youd know every message board fan is constantly saying the same stupid shit about their coaches it’s just how people like you are .

Super naïve and uninformed

Hell I was watching a replay, just the other day where they were complaining about Nick Sabans time management. I mean honestly you prove people’s points for them over and over and over and over and over and over

Then when presented with evidence to point out how shortsighted your position is and how many other teams are doing the same thing that has you frustrated about Kirk...

You ignore it and jump into another threand & say the same dumb crap...it’s honestly bizarre.

It’s kind of like a 10-year-old going...”Nana, nana boo-boo I don’t want to hear you”...So at the best it’s children stuff and at its worst it’s complete ignorance. I’m not really sure which is worse.

So in review, just ust so we’re clear. I’m going to treat this like the walk on situation with Wisconsin, when you kept ignoring how many they play every year because it didn’t fit your narrative....every time you make a complaint I’m going to remind you there are 130 other coaches in the nation that at some point in time in their career have done the same thing, multiple times and many of them, like KF are highly respected and highly praised!!!
