For anyone who cares (and I imagine nobody does), tOSU commit and son of an IC native and diehard Hawk fan Dylan Koontz won Junior Greco 120, pinning a Fargo AA and Greco Cadet World Team member in the first period. Could meet Teske in the second round of freestyle, which would be interesting.

Thanks, Spic. He may be a Buckeye, but he has Hawkeye blood!

Dylan Koontz came to compete. Won Greco and freestyle, beat Teske 13-7 in freestyle, and pinned Fargo AA and Greco World Team member Eric Barnett in the first period in both styles, including the freestyle finals.

I'm a Hawkeye through and through, but this kid's like family. As kind, humble, and respectful as can be, too. He's an easy kid to root for.

Of course, it wasn't folkstyle, so you take some of the results with a grain of salt. But a win like that over a stud like Teske, not to mention dominating the rest of the field, is impressive no matter how you slice it.

I like Sharpio is a smooth operator. His growth through HS is pretty staggering 126 up to 190. I would love for Iowa to land him. I like wrestlers that grow like this but still wrestles like a middle weight

His growth from Feb to May is crazy. He is a stud. He and Warner would look good anchoring our uppers for many years.

In a folk style match I give he edge to jrent. But it appears they won't be at the same weight.

JRent is more physical which suits college more. Not saying that Thomsen can't get more physical but if I had to choose between the two, i'd take JRent right now.
