Northwestern's field

Reminds me of a field I saw at a bowl game many years ago. But that was being played in a down pour.

They need field turf in the worst way.

I don't know guys. When I see a field like that I get a warm feeling in my chest. When I see puffs of ground black rubber on one of these new field turfs, I wish there was a better option.

It's all part of the aesthetic. Makes the opponent feel like they are playing a high school team. Plays right into Northwestern's hands

Soldier Field has the same issues; coincidence?

An entirely new field was installed prior to the Bears’ first preseason game in 2014. The grass surface then had to be resodded three times that season. Soldier Field’s playing surface was named the third-worst in the NFL by Sports Illustrated in 2015.

Bears president and CEO Ted Phillips said in 2014 that the organization would be willing to move to artificial turf on Soldier Field, but has since stuck with the grass surface.

Soldier Field used AstroTurf from 1971 until 1987, when the team switched back to natural grass.

I remember when the Bears first put grass in Soldier Field. It looked like a cow pasture all year, and I really don't think it has ever been in great shape.

welsh-ryan arena is a piece of sh*t also. i bought a candy bar there, at last years midlands wrestling tournament, and it was like 6 months past its date and tasted stale.

i know, csb.
