Hello from Seattle and Key Arena!

Been pretty busy here with the teams coming thru and practicing. UNI was one of the early teams thru since they have the first game here and among those in the stands were Brad Lohaus, who was here to support his son, Wyatt, and Les Jepsen. Jeremy Morgan said his dad, former Hawkeye Michael Morgan, will be here tomorrow.

For those who follow or have interest in the Panthers, they seemed pretty relaxed.

Iowa just finished up their media session and practice here at the arena. Players seemed focused and ready to go. They know they are going really have to be locked in on defense and run their shooters off the three point line. They said they also have to be very aware of back cuts and play very good help defense. From the Davidson perspective, they seems really concerned with their defensive rebounding. They know they can't match Iowa's size, so they are really concerned about keeping Iowa off the glass. Iowa is concerned about long rebounds for Davidson off three's

Davidson is a really confident team. Not cocky, but just confident and comfortable. They know their identity very well.

Interesting note, Davidson didn't play a lot of big teams during the season, but they did play one before the season. Every year they scrimmage against Texas and as most know, the Longhorns are one of the longer teams in college basketball this season.

Coach McKillop said he told NBA people after coaching Aaron White that he is a first round draft pick in his mind.

Lot of mutual respect between the two coaches. I would expect a high scoring and fast paced game.
