How are these numbers confirmed? Do the university share that info?
Thank Blair

I wish, but nothing like that. For the most part it's just kids posting about their offers, but they are pretty easy to confirm or disprove if you're a good reporter. We've had a few of those over the years with kids claiming Iowa offers that didn't have them.

This always puzzles me a bit. As in .... how does it actually work giving out 300+ offers? It makes zero sense that every.single.one of those would be takes. Clearly, recruiters must master the art of stringing kids along.

Spread thin, as in time and dollars spent. No time or money for off-season development if you are recruiting 150+ kids for ~25 slots.

So if West Virginia can get all their offers to commit they can have about 1400 players on their team with 4 classes. No wonder the locker rooms need to keep getting bigger!!!

Penn State - 265 offers. Wut?

So, Penn State offers a kid and he accepts, do they then say "Whoa, not so fast. Still looking for someone better"?

Sad news is that isu dropped out of the top 20.
It's an odd approach for a school that struggles with perception.

I think one of their "hoped" selling points is they try to be the first offer for a lot of kids and hope that resonates with guys.

They just got a commitment for 2023 that had zero other D-1 offers.

And as we saw last year, some of their commits only commit to lock up an offer until something better comes along.

A good reason signing day should be way earlier. These kids want it to be business....
