I know a number of posters have stated both are legit 3 point threats, but does anyone have their season 3 point % stats and numbers made?

30% for a 6 10 high schooler would be good, but I doubt if that translates to the B1G. If we are talking 40% at a hs level then we've got a potential threat.

If you've seen either one play do they have quick releases?

Thanks in advance for a way too early question..

I'm curious too I know nunge has said his game is similar to JU and in a lot of film highlights i have seen him making threes. I was unaware that Garza shoots the 3 too i know I've seen he's got a nice 15 footer.

I know Fran has said he doesn't plan on redshirting either one of them, I feel nunge should possibly redshirt to put on alittle weight on and also so Joe W has another freshman with him since he's just taking Uhl spot as he graduates, also help even out these classes finally.

I just have no idea how fran is going to give out minutes with these bigs especially since cook is a for sure 25-28 minute guy next year.

Garza is thick and big and won't need a redshirt he already looks the part of a D1 center.

If nunge doesn't redshirt i could see him playing SF but that's a tall SF at 6'11, as long as he can shoot like i heard he can than I can see it.

In the 2016 EYBL Circuit, playing for Team Takeover, Garza made 4-12 threes for .333. He also made 33 of 40 FT's for an .825 result. I'm impressed with the FT% and not concerned with the 3's as too small a number to worry.

That ability to draw fouls and make the free throws is what I'm most excited about.

He also shot .569.

At New Castle as a Junior Nunge shot 43.4% from three. He was listed as 6'9".

Thanks so much. This adds perspective and realism to the talk. I agree I'm not concerned about Garza needing to step out to the three, but the 15 foot range is definitely a plus.

Nunge shoots a good percentage and the 82% from the line is a good foundation. Other then Baer we really don't have anyone at the 4 who can step outside (Uhl?!?) and Nunge could fill a niche there.

Garza is needed at the 5. He isn't trying to become a 4 (like Bryant of Indiana), but his video shows he's got some range.

I'm glad we've got both and Conner will be much needed as well.

I watched some highlight videos of Garda and had him hitting a few 3s but one of them was banked in. I don't see him as coming in being. 3 point shooter at all. I would see Kriener as becoming a 3 point threat before Garza.
