After watching all of the Selection Sunday stuff last night, I couldn't help but think about Jack Nunge again. You have to feel for that kid once again, with Xavier getting left out of the tournament. For much of the season, they were a tournament "lock" and Nunge was a big part of their success. Then they hit a big time skid in February, that now finds them out of March Madness. That kid has been through a lot over the past few years, and I'm sure it couldn't have been easy for him watching all of the success that his former team is now having without him, while his current team went the other direction in Feb/Mar. Now, I'm seeing some speculation that the Xavier coach might be getting canned here in the coming days.
Hopefully he's found happiness in other areas of his life, and I'm sure being closer to his family is a big part of that. Feel for the kid though, as from the outside at least - it just feels like he can't buy a break.
