O’Keefe stepping down as Iowa Quarterbacks Coach

Yet your reasoning for why Tony is a bad coach is all clips of when Tony and Petras had yet to meet.
My reasoning is that after they met he still sucked and a big reason for that is that Tony Rice A Roni overcomplicates things, which is the worst possible thing to do with a guy like Peaches that spazzes when the bullets are flying.

Making basic things sound complicated is good for drumming up business as a “guru” (and lol at that) and absolutely the worst thing for preparing someone for real competition.

Just say your stupid and stop blaming others for your lack of knowledge. How do you know he overcomplicates things I’m sure for QBs it all makes plenty of sense.

You get to a point with positions of authority where it's a potential upgrade simply to move the old guy out and replace him with a younger person who brings enthusiasm,.. This is a step in the right direction.
Oh I agree 100 about being a step in right direction. All I am saying is it’s still Kirk/Brian leading the offense …

Can you even show us evidence Raccioppi over complicated things?

Yet once again you are arguing for a guy that you don't know and you and a couple others cannot throughout the whole thread spell his last name correctly.
I've provided the solid info on a recent article done about Pickett and could go on and on, but I hope you guys don't have kids and take them to trainers or sport specialist's because you lack any sort of knowledge on how to check out education, resumes, and certifications. That is your last clue.

Good QB does not equal Good QB Coach

CJ might get there some day, but that would not be a good hire when he doesn't have a day of coaching under his belt.
I'm not going to argue about the lack of coaching experience but I always felt like he was a coach on the field. It would be great to get a top notch QB coach, but looking at KF past practice I just don't see it. He had to know KOK was leaving long ago, this just didn't happen. Crossing my fingers on getting a quality coach.

It shouldn't matter. His "client" has been our starting QB. How in the hell could his performance warrant hiring this self proclaimed guru

I have no idea. Neither do any of us. But he's worked with more QB's than Petras. Do the results with those other people not matter? I do hope that the replacement is a bit out of the box or not just someone with Iowa ties. Interested to see what KF does here.

LOL, trying to keep up. Don't worry, you'll get it figured out one day and find yourself and find a career you can settle into. If not, look me up, and I'll hire you to be my chauffer.
Old, confused anonymous message board gagillionaires are my favorite.

I have no doubt that my career is much more respectable than your Mary Kay business.

Come back here after your bowel disimpaction and you have something useful to add to the discussion of Iowa's next QB coach.

Glad he is stepping down. He wasn't having any success. Hopefully James is not slotted in the spot and Kirk actually gets a real QB coach. I wonder in CJ B might be an option?

For me the question is why the hell are we keeping KOK on staff? He is now here for off the field stuff but has had a limited role in recruiting for years. What does he do to earn a paycheck and how much more could we be getting for those dollars?

The way I understood it is that he's still under contract for a bit longer and they're essentially just letting him ride that out. I assume because they don't want to be looking for a QB coach mid-season. Just my guess.

Yet another thing that would get laughed out of the room at any place other than Iowa. They will have the new guy by the end of March.

Oh, let's just get this over with. KF announces Brian is taking over as QB coach along with his current job! ;)
Couple of things I'm hearing regarding that.

1: in the event that happens Blair and Tom will both take extended vacations.

2: there is talk of another large move that could include Brian and a discussion that it may not even be a QB coach that comes in.

O'Keefe has a contract,.. We can let him ride it out or pay him to go away immediately. Ken doesn't deserve to be kicked in the ass while he's moving towards the door.
Yep, Kirk showing the respect for the years Ken has served with him over the long tenure.

Lol. Do you really want to see clips of the 2021 pant crapping moments? They are out there.
Ohio State QB completion % under pressure was like 53%. Do you suppose our QB was under pressure a lot more than theirs was? And I present evidence as the running game which sucked. Our blocking was below average. And it was visually evident too.
