Ocasio-Cortez Is Not Very Bright

More serious than not. Might have been just a teeny, weenie bit hyperbolic. ;)
I tell you what—I'll break this down into three parts.
You guys need to spend a little more time on introspection. It's a common little practice among successful people that promotes personal growth.
I love this. Nothing says "I need to feel better about myself" than associating attributes of successful people to one particular group over another. Aside from that, we are where we are in today's politics in large part to people rejecting the introspection and going all in on instinct and gut feeling. This is a significant element of Trump's appeal to his base. It's fair to say it sure as shit ain't some notion of thoughtful introspection.
Lefties rip on everyone from the right at will, ad nauseam, and it's no big thing. Righties rip on one dumbass on the left and you guys lose your minds and want to start limiting free speech.
Victimhood. The Right hates this about the Left. Yet here you are, a victim of something of which you, yourself, are guilty. Aside from that, both "sides" rip on each other, both "sides" express indignation and outrage in response. One who practices introspection, I would think, would be very unlikely to make this statement such as you stated it.
Typical libtard response.
You go from an expression of indignation over Lefties ripping on Righties, to this. Introspect on that.

Not sure where to start with all this.

I was doing no such thing. Introspection is an activity, not an attribute. You either do it, or you don't. Your nonsensical response here - and it is nonsensical - would seem to be the product of a fundamental inability to comprehend written English. I was simply making an observation of a well documented fact.

Aside from that, we are where we are in today's politics in large part to people rejecting the introspection and going all in on instinct and gut feeling.
You can say that again.

This is a significant element of Trump's appeal to his base. It's fair to say it sure as shit ain't some notion of thoughtful introspection.
The topic of the conversation was Ocasio-Cortez, not Trump. I know you didn't bring him up first, but this is a deflection regardless.

Victimhood. The Right hates this about the Left.
This is patently false. This is like saying the Right believes there are no victims. That would be idiotic. I don't see a need to expound on this nonsense.

Yet here you are, a victim of something of which you, yourself, are guilty.
This again is patently false. The suggested victimization I was referring to was the opinion based repression of speech suggested by Hoosier. I understand he very likely was being intentionally sardonic.

Aside from that, both "sides" rip on each other, both "sides" express indignation and outrage in response.
This is true.

One who practices introspection, I would think, would be very unlikely to make this statement such as you stated it.
As I originally stated, I was being hyperbolic. Suck i up and deal with it.

You go from an expression of indignation over Lefties ripping on Righties, to this. Introspect on that.
Another patently false statement. Again, my "indignation" - which isn't what it was but I'll accept it as reasonable that you might assume such if you're prone to indignation yourself - was over the suggested repression of speech, not the criticism of people on the Right.

For the most part, your misconceptions about what I was saying throughout seem to probably be the result of poor reading comprehension skills. Of course it could be that you were intentionally trying to mischaracterize my comments, a common practice by many on the Left, but I'd rather like to give you the benefit of the doubt here and just assume you're not very bright.

And that link just links the other link (which didn't back up said stipulation) while trying to connect said "democratic socialists" to Venezuela (which it doesn't do either)..........but it is an op-ed after all
I'm not sure what it takes to get something into your head. Here are two verbatim quotations from that link:

"Despite my working-class immigrant roots, I am concerned by the popularity of socialism within my party. On the night of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s victory in New York, I thought her use of the term was a misnomer. Then I began studying the views of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the rapidly growing national organization she belongs to, and was disturbed by what I learned."

"As someone who spent years defending Democrats from "socialista" charges, I understand why people roll their eyes when Cuba and Venezuela are mentioned alongside democratic socialism, but to reject the comparison simply because we don’t like those countries' outcomes misses the point of why they turned out the way they did. I’m under no illusion that increased access to health care and education will turn us into the Venezuelan capital Caracas, but it’s foolish to believe that democratic socialists — who promise to end capitalism — would be satisfied with Medicare for all, if given the reins of power."

MAYBE when discussing the history of Economics, but I took both Macro and Micro (granted ~25 years ago) and we never once discussed Marx, et. al.

An advanced economics theories class would cover a lot more than ECON 101 and 102. There are dozens of different economic theories, not just the classical theory that is mostly taught at the undergraduate level. All can be viewed through a micro and a macro lens, though.

I honestly feel bad for her, I really do. She is extremely young and got thrown into this world while not ready at all. She just says things and doesn't know what she's talking about. There's an argument to be made for a lot of the things she associates herself with but does an absolutely horrendous job of making her argument.

91, you nailed it.

Just needs to do a little sexual assaulting and she’ll be ready for the Supreme Court.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sexually assaulted me at a small party about 10 or 12 years ago. I don’t remember when it happened or where it happened. I don’t remember how I got to the party or how I got home afterward. I remember that I probably went swimming earlier that day. And there was music at the party.

My best friend was there but he doesn’t have any recollection of the party or any recollection of ever meeting AOC at any social gathering. He didn’t even realize I had left abruptly and never called me afterward to find out why I left early without him.

There you go. Ocasio-Cortez is now a rapist and she’s all set to serve on the Supreme Court.

You’re welcome.

Was she with a friend who also denied it?

Three friends, actually. Evidently I’m the only person who has any recollection of that night.
And your posts on this forum are the "anonymous letter" that you will forward to your senator. I suggest you do a lie detector test first.

No probs. They’re easy to beat and my attorneys will cover the cost.

And again.........how exactly does ANYTHING in either of those articles backs up the idea that, "She wants to nationalize major industries, propose eliminating private ownership of companies, and reject profits"?

Hell, it doesn't give ANY evidence (circumstantial or otherwise) that ANYONE connected to the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) want to do any of that. Don't get me wrong I'm sure plenty do, but you would figure there would be plenty of direct evidence they could pull from.

I am not worried about one out of 435 screwing something up in Congress (not that the full body does not do this regularly). I also do not engage in hand-wringing over her politics - I don't agree with her, but once again, she is 1 of 435. What I can appreciate is she is a 29-year-old woman who defeated a 20-year member of the House. That is inspiring for young people, particularly young women and girls. She is in the arena. Most criticizing her are doing so anonymously on the Internet.
