Really? When have we ever won it?

2002 and 2004. If you’d placed $ for Iowa even with shared title Vegas would have still paid out. So there you go. I know how much it pains you that someone points out something positive and not negative about Iowa. But not sure why you care you said you haven’t watched the “fighting ferentzs” for years.

Not trying to incite, but this is pretty stupid. Iowa and Nebraska tied at 10 to 1 to win the West? Call me the professor from now on out. Riddle me these questions three, and the other side ye will see.

1. Nebraska won 4 games in 2017, right?
2. Nebraska travels to IC in 2018, correct?
3. Nebraska keeps boasting about having the toughest schedule in the country?

Interesting. What is your favorite color?

TOO FUNNY!
I wonder how many games they lose by 20+. Over under 4.5?

Those oddsmakers must have a twisted sense of humor. Nebraska? LOL

I think the odds for Purdue is interesting. Everyone seems to think Purdue is the fourth best team in the west this year. I think last year was a fluke and they caught a lot of teams off guard but it's interesting that the oddsmaker's have them right above Illinois.

Nebraska has a tough road I'll agree...but they will get one upset....win one game they are not suppose to. The question will it be Ohio State, no. Will it be Michigan, no. Will it be Wisconsin, no. Will it be Michigan State, doubtful. That leaves Iowa who is lowest on the totem pole...interesting.

So you think because you're not good enough to beat any of those that it means you're good to go against us? Doesn't make much sense to me. If anything it means you're even more likely to lose if you have nothing to play for at the end of the season.

Who is we. What position do you play?

Hawkeye fans, a portion of whom are Iowa grads, are--by far--the most tenured elements of the University of Iowa athletic program. Administrators come and go. Coaches come and go. Players certainly come and go. But Hawkeye fans often claim that title for nearly a lifetime. Many are fans for thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy years and more. And during that time they spend hundreds, maybe thousands of hours and untold dollars they often can't afford to follow their team.

So maybe it's just me, but if anyone has the right to say "we" in this context, it would seem to be a Hawkeye fan.

I hate to say it but that projection seems out of whack. Brutal schedule, "@Kinnick included,". First year coach, with depth lacking on both sides of the trenches. As an NU fan I just don't see it.

I don’t think Pudue was a fluke at all and I truly think they’re only going to get better as they have a damn tough defense and I could see them easily challenging for the West Division and I can see them knocking off wisconsin when nobody’s looking ...

I don't think some people here realize that betting odds and % chance of winning are two completely different things.

10-1 to win the West seems enticing considering what we have coming back. Add in the fact we basically just need to win the Wisconsin game, and not lose more than one more.
I just have a feeling we are going to have a good season, this one or next.

I feel and have felt really good on the production and stability of the OL, DL, LB, CB, QB, RB and our TE positions. Even our special teams, save the punter have played really well.
I feel the coaches have this program in the best position they've had during the Ferentz Era. They are set up to win. Just need scheme and to execute.

"HAD" a tough defense. From my understanding they lost a lot of players on the defense as they were seniors. I do think they'll be competitive but I just can't go all in after one season.

If I'm not mistaken read in a preview magazine they return 3 starters from last season on D. Speaking of Purdue I do like how both QBs are going to media day. Kind of unique.
