Why is this being talked about like it's a guarantee? I don't think it'd turn any heads if the B1G only got Nebraska, Indiana and Michigan.

I don't have a ton of confidence Iowa would be a team that would be any threat in a BTT (theoretical) or Regional right now. You've got Wally who sets you up with a good possibility to win game 1....then what? We have 3 reliably solid pitchers on the staff right now (Wally, Nedved and Leonard), and that's just not enough to navigate through 4+ games. Unless our pitchers really find a rhythm and finish 6-0, I think this season is a lost cause.

a couple things:

* D1 Baseball, since February, has considered the B1G a 4 bid conference. They have never wavered.

* 5 days ago D1 Baseball considered the B1G a 5 bid league. Just 5 days ago! So now we are going to throw in the towel?


Don't give up hope based on one game that we lost on Sunday.
