*****Official Cubs 2020 thread*****

Interesting article in BN a few days ago. Would the Cubs go bold this offseason and try to backload a deal to get Korean SS Ha-Seong Kim? He is a contact guy, who fields the position well, and would add some speed.
Javy? Slide him to 2nd or 3rd depending if you deal someone, or deal Javy. Changes have to be made.

You make an interesting point. Javy is a fan fav, but unless this season was an extreme fluke, which many will claim it was, Baez is a huge liability with a bat in is hand. You can't give a, defense only, player a huge contract.

That's a bit far, IMHO. Javy has a track record as a productive hitter. This year was like a low lights video on repeat. He was objectively terrible, but does 60 games this year outweigh the last 4 years? He's 27.

I'm not making any grand predictions, but a 60 game schedule is basically playing through June 8. For anyone with a track record, I'm definitely taking things with a grain of salt.

So, how much will the Yanks give the Cubs for Javy?????

Less than what he's worth. Then the NYY will sign that guy the next off season.

And then he will give up a season losing HR in 2 seasons in a row. :)
