Gonzaga just took apart USC, who trounced Oregon, who made us look like a JV team. The Oregon game showed just how bad defensively Iowa was. A team like Gonzaga would score at will. And they play pretty good defense. We would have to have the best three point shooting game of the season to keep it under 30.

Garza held Timme to 15 which I think he had more than that a half today. Zaga also went off from 3 against Iowa and Iowa only lost by 11. The Zaga matchup might actually be better than the Iowa Oregon matchup. I wonder how much injuries did slow Iowa come tourney time.

Ive calmed down and reflected and honestly only a final 4 run would have satisfied me anyway. I know that is absurd but that is what 40 years, and the 87 UNLV game, does to a man.

In hindsight expectations were a bit high. Iowa got back Nunge and JBo and underutilized some young talent. But season to season the change on the team wasnt too massive.
