Here’s hoping that Mazur brings some lightning with that right arm and Iowa’s offense brings some thunder.

If my weather app is to be believed, the effort to move first pitch to 3:35 p.m. CDT will not be effective. High winds beginning around noon with strong chance of rain starting at about 4:00 p.m.

I do not . . repeat DO NOT . . . want the game to start if it is going to be suspended about 30-45 minutes after first pitch. The last thing that we want is for Mazur to go through a full set of warm ups, pitch an inning (or even a couple) and then have the game wiped out. Iowa can't afford to burn its ace.

Based on the forecast, is it likely they can get 2 games in tomorrow and the game in on Sunday?

NWS has less than a 50% chance thru 6pm.

Well this sucks, all they have is the camera behind home plate. Must be too windy to operate the camera in center field.

Hell of a play by the Nebbie 2nd baseman on Peterson's shot up the middle. #CreditWhereCreditIsDue #TipOfTheCap

Tough to listen to the Nebbie homers who are on the BTN+ broadcast and the Nebbie fans seem to be booing every single pitch called a ball with Nebraska pitching and every single pitch called a strike with Iowa pitching.
Typical Nebbie. Huckstorf definitely didn’t help though, I thought he might get tossed 🤣

I'm a little jealous actually, sounds like they actually have a few people there watching the game.

Yeah, I thought he was going to get run up. My thought process on those situations is that an ump gives some deference when the ump knows that he missed the call. Pitch looked well outside to me (albeit a bad angle)

Wow, that wind is clearly knocking the ball down in left field. That has to be the 2nd hit that sounded like a home run off the bat that a Nebraska player hit.

Without question. Both of those balls were rockets off the bat. Park doesn't hold those balls without the wind blowing.

How many complete innings need to be played in an NCAA game scheduled for 9 innings for it to count following a rainout? Or would they postpone and pick it back up anyway if the weather turns since we are in Lincoln all weekend anyway?

C'mon . . . Anthony's base running has to be smarter than that. Simply stop. Make the second baseman work. The DP could have been avoided.

Yeah, you never should run into a tag. I was shaking my head on that one too.

Damn, with that wind blowing in all Iowa hitters can do is hit fly ball after fly ball.
